Mummy is tired ~ children’s book

This book reflects the raw and real emotional journey of a child (and family) adjusting to life with a new baby. It is my hope that this book can assist with and promote discussion around the emotions of jealousy, rejection, resentment, acceptance, contentment, and love.

This is an ode to the chaos and love filled first 6 months of bringing home a new baby. For toddlers and older children alike, the transition can largely affect their wellbeing and mental health. The story is written through the eyes of a toddler with her new baby sibling and stay-at-home mum. It brings to life the reality of sleep deprivation, change of routine, and emotions felt while each family member adjusts.

About the author - Ashlee Eyles

Living life in the beautiful Adelaide Hills, Ashlee has a teaching degree and a master of education in wellbeing and positive mental health. Her passion lies in children's wellbeing and advocating for children's voice.

Ashlee works part time as a student wellbeing leader in a school based in the Adelaide Hills.

She spends the remaining days of the week making the most of her time spent with her young children.
